The layout plan of the house is derived from the movement of the sun coupled with the clients active use of spaces at certain times of the day. It was the wishes of the client to create a modular formed house while still adhering to the local design guidelines. The house had to retain a traditional vernacular which is achieved by using traditional gable forms. These forms are then spliced by material changes in the facade to create dynamic elevations while still retaining the character of traditional housing forms in the locality.
